Email on your own address that sorts itself, with replies drafted by AI and waiting for your OK. Works in Mail, on your phone and in the mail app you already use.

What it is for

Mail is your business email. Pick a new address when you set up, or use your own domain. Mail sorts new email for you: leads, receipts and newsletters go where they belong, and each email links to the client it is about.

What it does best

It writes the reply before you open the email. AI drafts replies in your voice and leaves them in Drafts. You read, change anything you like and press send. Nothing sends without you.

Common tasks

Reply with an AI draft

  1. Open an email that shows Draft by AI.
  2. Read the draft. Edit it like any email.
  3. Press send when it says what you mean. If you would rather start over, delete the draft and write your own.

Use your own domain

  1. Go to Mail, Settings, Domain, and type your domain.
  2. Add the four records Mail shows at your domain host: MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC. If you bought the domain in Domains, this is done for you.
  3. Most hosts update in under an hour. Mail checks every few minutes and tells you when it works.

Use Outlook, Apple Mail or the Gmail app

  1. Go to Settings, Account, Use your Scale email in other apps.
  2. Make an app password for that mail app.
  3. Follow the steps for your app. Apple devices can install a profile that fills everything in. The server settings are on Getting started.

Add your license number to your signature

  1. Go to Settings, Business profile.
  2. Add your license number, like a California DRE number (8 digits, including the leading zero).
  3. Mail adds it to your signature and Sites adds it to your website footer.

Teach AI your voice

  1. Go to Settings, AI, Your voice, and choose Start.
  2. Reply to ten real situations in your own words. Skip any you like.
  3. AI learns your tone, length and sign off, and shows how it will sound. Choose Relearn my voice any time.

  • Writing email and saving it in Drafts.
  • Attaching files from Drive, and saving an attachment to Drive.
  • Sending rules: unsubscribe links, your postal address, honest From and Subject lines, daily limits and the records for your own domain, shown in Mail, Sending rules. A test message there goes only to a test inbox.
  • Picking your address, and the setup screens for your own domain and other mail apps.

At launch

  • Sending and receiving email with people outside Scale Suite. In the preview today, nothing is sent to or received from outside addresses.
  • Importing your old email, and forwarding from your old address.
  • Using your address in Outlook, Apple Mail and the Gmail app.

Rules that keep mail delivered

Mailboxes are hosted by our email partner and have sending and size limits. No spam, no bulk or marketing mail from mailboxes, and no forged sender details. Marketing emails need your business postal address and an unsubscribe link. The Terms, sections 9 and 13, have the full rules.

How it connects

Every email links to the person in Contacts. Attachments can go to Drive. Invoices from Money, contracts from Sign and booking confirmations from Calendar go out from your address. When you ask AI to draft an email, it opens in Mail for you to read and send.
