Docs
Documents that know which client they are for. Templates fill themselves in, and signature lines are already on the page.
Last updated October 28, 2026.
What it is for
Docs is for proposals, agreements, letters, estimates and anything else you write. Each document links to a client and a deal, so it is always where you look.
What it does best
Templates fill themselves in. Client names, prices and dates come from the record and stay up to date, so a proposal takes minutes, not an evening.
Common tasks
Start from a template
- Open Docs and choose New. Templates match your kind of business.
- Pick the client and deal. Names, prices and dates fill in.
- Type / on the page for anything you need, like a table or a signature line.
Suggest changes
- Turn on suggest mode to edit without touching the original.
- Others accept or reject each change. Comments stay with the document.
Go back to an earlier version
- Open the version history. Every version is saved.
- Pick one to restore it.
Keep it on brand
- Set your logo and colors once in Settings, Business profile.
- New documents use your colors for headings.
Send it for signature
- Choose Send for signature. The signature lines are already on the page.
- Track it in Sign.
Today and at launch
Works today
- Your own documents, kept with your workspace.
- Templates, suggest mode and versions.
At launch
- Sending for signature by email or link (signing in person works today, see Sign).
- Sharing a document with a client for comments.
How it connects
Documents link to Contacts, go out for signature in Sign, and save in Drive. AI can draft a first version for you to edit.
